The people took Jesus to a man named Pilate. Pilate could let them kill Jesus or else make them let Jesus go. He talked to the people and said that Jesus does not deserve to die. He says Jesus is good.

But the people are angry and want to see Jesus die. They shouted at Pilate and made him afraid of them.

He then decided to give Jesus to them to be killed.
